A very cold walk with Ellie, not so much the cold but wind. We called at Nationwide, to go in. They are now shut all day Thursday and Friday!!

I then drove into Deal to have my booster, Moderna. It is where I went previously. I had an appointment booked elsewhere but by keeping looking, I managed to change it.

Mal went to the allotment in the afternoon to fetch more vegetables and apples. Mal cooked in the evening. He said he would do it in case I had any after effects! Yes a very sore arm and headache.

The sun was out and so we took Ellie to the park in Ramsgate. For such a lovely day, there were very few dog walkers out. Sadly Alison’s Kiosk was shut and so no coffees for us as we were walking round.

In the green photo with just branches, you can spot three Rose ringed parakeets.

On the way home we stopped at the Post Office and posted our parcel Christmas presents.

One of the outings we booked with Red Hatters was “Cruising Into Christmas” with a local coach company. A few people couldn’t make the date and there should have been 6 of us and then sadly 2 had to cancel at the last minute owing to ill health. So, we didn’t go as Red Hatters as there was only 4 of us. But the four of us that did go had a really good time and will definitely go again next year!

We had lunch in a pub in Greenwich (Pam and I had a gin!), a walk around the market.

We  then went in another pub while we were waiting for the boat to go up the Thames (Pam and I had another gin!!).

Then on to the boat. Pam and I sat upstairs, yes it was (very) cold but a far better view and lovely lights.

The coach met us at the end and then took us all round the lights with a guide telling us info, like Claridges Xmas lunch is £395 per person!

Then we stopped in Covent garden, a quick walk round and see the lights there.

Then a stop in another pub (for a wee, a “splash and dash” as our coach driver preferred to call it) but Pam and I felt obliged to have another gin.

Back on the coach and the drive home.  What a lovely day with good company.

Milly and Sol are down south for a couple of days and so came and had lunch with us and we handed over Christmas presents. They go back up north on Thursday and are working Christmas day. It was nice to see them.

Mal has been approached to teach at a local college in January. It seems they can’t get the teachers with the right experience.

I went to Westwood, a very quick trip as it was busy.  I had a hair appointment for Tuesday and they have messaged to say the hairdresser has tested positive!  Ah well, now what? It’s getting near to Christmas and they will all be busy.

A dull day and raining. We put the Christmas tree and decorations up.

We took Ellie for a walk and then Mal came back and decided he was cooking Sunday roast again, I like this!! It was very good. Leeks, parsnips, spinach and brussels all from the allotment.

In the afternoon we watched Spurs and we won!

We walked along the river and then into town with Ellie.

There were singers for a sing along in King Street, part of the big Christmas light turn on today!

In the afternoon we watched an excellent Hammers game. Yeah! They beat Chelsea.

On the evening we walked into the town for the Christmas lights turn on. They didn’t seem as good as usual but a lovely atmosphere and of course we had some mulled wine!

Then back home to catch up with Strictly.
