I wonder if I am the only person in the country who thinks all this Captain/Colonel Tom thing has become totally ridiculous? Yes, he has done something good but where is this money going and how about a fly past for the frontline NHS staff? They are the ones who are putting their lives on the line. Where is the money coming from for the flypast? Three of my family are working in the NHS and know all about the lack of funds and equipment. Surely we need all public funds to deal with Covid 19? It seems the country now is a whole load of sheep. ………………..just saying! Only my opinion, rant over.

We took Ellie to Minnis Bay, actually the last day before dog restrictions on beaches come into play. It was lovely to walk along the beach. I think this is Ellie’s favourite run. You can see how quiet it was there!

Of course we were outside clapping with all our neighbours at 8pm.

Mal walked Ellie and then went to the allotment. I painted. We had a nice surprise visitor, Tariq was out on a bike ride and so just called…at a distance to say hello. That was really lovely of him, we miss them all so much.

Rain, quite a while since we have had any. We had a wet walk with Ellie.

I started painting the kitchen cupboards. I don’t want to pay for a new kitchen. I have had 2 dream kitchens , one at Sevenscore which was all hand built, with a chopping block and a range. I left that behind and then in Cyprus another perfect kitchen with granite worktops etc etc, now I am just changing colour with this one and new handles!

Mal went to the allotment to do more weeding and planting.

We are watching Beat the Chasers every night.

We took Ellie for a walk and saw this along The Butts….

Of course we had to do it but Ellie wasn’t too good at it! At least it made people laugh! It’s a lovely community we live in.

We had a barbecue for lunch and I made a jug of Pimms for the first time this year!

In the evening we watched another Merry Hell performance online. This time it was for donations for Teardrops (for the homeless). Good for them. I always make a donation, after all you pay for their concerts!

There are a lot more ducklings on the river when we walked Ellie.

From there we went to the allotment. We both had aching backs by the time we left!

The painting has all been refreshed in the garden and so we put the solar lights up all the way round. It will put a bit of sparkle in our lives.

I ordered Ellie’s wormer and flea treatment online as I always do and they arrived today. They only took 4 days! I made sure I have plenty in case they go in short supply but obviously not.

After lunch we went to the allotment, so much weeding and watering to do.

I noticed an advert for Paul Sinha appearing in Margate on 1st October. We both like his comedy and so I got quite excited and booked it. Surely theatres will be open again by then. One thing to look forward to anyway!!
