We went to Minster fields for Ellie’s walk. Everywhere is so muddy!

Margate has been in the news this week. Firstly Madonna has been here again, to visit her friend Tracey Emin. Secondly, Dreamland want to close the 100 year old roller coaster for good! I understand there is a demonstration there today.

West Ham were doing so well in the first half of their game against Chelsea but then the second half was disaster. I think the frustration showed in a red card and then losing!

Apologies, this website has been attacked, managed to get it all back except what I had written for this day!

The dentist called me at 8.30am to see if I was OK after the extraction. Another top tooth I had removed previously, I had bled profusely during the night. So, kind of them to call me. This one was OK.

We walked Ellie at Kearsney. She has always run to jump in the stream. Not today. I don’t think she is as confident any more in getting out. We didn’t stop  at the coffee shop either (can’t drink anything hot!). Ellie is a creature of habit and so pulled to go for a coffee!!! She was disappointed we didn’t stop.

On the way back we stopped at Lidl as they are selling Singer sewing machines for £89. I have had mine for years and it really has had its day.  I don’t use one that much so this one is good enough.

Dentist in the morning. It was the dentist in Canterbury. Before the operation on one of my teeth the periodontal doc insisted this wobbly tooth was extracted. Of course he doesn’t do it. So, Nazeen took X rays, removed the tooth and will make new plates for me. She also told me that periodontal are no longer taking new patients on!! I guess I say I am “lucky” to get the operation done on the NHS. But it will be in over a years time, they have long waiting lists.

I think Nazeen feels sorry for me as she said, this has all been going on for so long.  I have to say she was very nice to me today. Another £326.70!!

I watched Spurs win in the evening. They won!!!  Now 4th in the Champions.

Pouring with rain. Mal suggested he walk Ellie instead of both of us getting wet. We had planned to do Eastry fields but it is so muddy we changed our minds. Of course Ellie was soaked, so I tried her Soggy Doggy coat to dry her. She doesn’t like it and just stands still and won’t move!!

We then had a trip to the vets for Ellie’s weight clinic. We saw a new nurse there, a nice girl Rachel. Ellie now ways 28.1kg so doing OK.

We went to Wingham orchards to walk Ellie. She was very curious about the rabbit holes today. I remember when she used to chase them round the orchards! A miserable, muddy day.

We decided to do our “Birdwatch” an hour walking round the orchards.

Of course a lot of birds.

The farm shop on the way home so that Mal could buy some seed potatoes for the allotment and also we topped up our Jazz apples from their own orchards.

Later we watched the Man U v Arsenal game. A good game – Man U won!

Bored with TV we started re watching ‘Last Tango in Halifax’ from season one. Sally Wainwright is such a good writer.
