On his way….

Just de icing the windows and then back to camp for Tariq. It has been a pleasure having him stay…….apart from the shouting during football matches! All his room was left tidy and bed stripped!

We received a Christmas card from Scarlet and one from Jack and also these photos.

How lovely to hear from them and hopefully they are thinking about us. We just hope they liked their Christmas presents as they grow, it is difficult to know what to buy them.

I popped to Tesco. The traffic lights were in use but I didn’t have to queue for long.

In the evening we watched another film.

Another lovely day so Mal, Tariq and I were up and out early and met Lou, Rhys and the kids. We started in Ramsgate and walked to Broadstairs and then back again. It really is a lovely walk and of course the dogs love it too.

Lunch and then Tariq went for a run, it was turning quite cold then.

In the evening we watched Two weeks Notice.

Josie’s 11th Birthday today and another event we are missing! We did give her her birthday presents yesterday but it’s not the same.

It’s also our Queenie’s birthday and so dropped her present and cards through her letterbox!

After lunch we decided to drive over to Herne Bay just to say Happy Birthday to Josie even though we couldn’t go in.  The things we do!! It is such a shame for her.

Football in the evening. Hammers game followed by the Man u game. The Man U game was very noisy. I should say Tariq is very noisy when Man U play. Thankfully they won.

A lovely day and we met up with Rhys, Lou and the kids. We met them in Broadstairs and then walked all the way along the sea front to Ramsgate and then back again. My back was starting to ache , I think I have been sitting around too much over Christmas! It must have been 5 miles.

Ellie loved her walk but she looked a bit weary by the end. Meeting up with them does make this tier 4 a little more bearable for us.

A wild night of rain and very strong winds but when it was time to take Ellie, it had all stopped. So much mud around now. I went to buy some fresh salad, not many people around.

We watched the Hammers game in the afternoon. This was followed by a disappointing Spurs game.

We had the last of the turkey in a Thai curry!

Mal and I took Ellie for quite a long walk. Tariq was a little the worse for wear following the previous days excesses!!

It was cold during the walk but the sun was out. We have so much food, I bought far too much, being used to people popping in and of course now no one is allowed to.

In the afternoon we watched Man U and then ‘Catch me if you can.’ We finished the evening with ‘Love Actually.’ A nice lazy day.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Wishing everyone the best possible Christmas.

We opened our presents.

Then we had breakfast and then took Ellie and we went to Herne Bay for a dog walk and what a coincidence, we met Lou, Rhys and the kids so we all walked together! It was freezing along the sea front.

Lovely to see them but sad we couldn’t all stay together. But I guess at least we were lucky to have plenty of food and a warm house unlike those poor drivers at the lorry park when we passed.

Back for our lunch. We shouldn’t have had a starter……………far too much food and didn’t make dessert until the evening!

Then of course stockings/after dinner presents!

Mal’s 2 sisters arrived later but again we had to chat at a distance on the door step. It’s horrible not being able to ask them in. They dropped presents off. Also a zoom call with Tris and Violet.

The rest of the day was watching TV/films and drinking and eating!

We had a toast to Torin and to the rest of our absent family who we usually spend Christmas with. Let’s hope this will all go away soon.
