We took Ellie over the field quite early before the heat but we met the two really friendly labs.  We think she is getting old but she chased all over the fields with them. Bailey gives her kisses!!

Later I went to physio , told to keep up with the exercises, they will get easier and then she did soft tissue massage on my leg…ouch!!

In the evening I went to the Stak craft evening as the square we printed for the “Speak their name ” quilt was too dark so I had to go and collect another square! Emma and Tristan are the loveliest people and all the others that attend equally so and we all have something in common, losing a loved one to suicide. So much kindness and empathy. I stayed for tea and chatted to some people I hadn’t met before. The person who is doing their website is stopping soon, of course I have volunteered Mal’s services!!!

When Emma was in that state of total shock when she lost her son Stefan, she collected stones and painted them and if people would like to place them somewhere, she gives them away, so stones have travelled all over the world. Of course I have taken one to place in Monte Palace gardens when we go to Madeira.

It was Oscar’s farewell BBQ prior to joining the Royal Navy. When we arrived he was at the hospital!! Josie had been larking around with the Sharp BBQ  spatula and whacked Oscar with it, cutting his arm. It just missed his artery and he had to have three stitches in it! The BBQ was good, Lou’s dad and step mum came and River and Maddie.

We hope Oscar has a very successful future.

Just as well I didn’t watch the Spurs game. They lost 5-0.

Back to Maxillo to have my tooth checked. Two weeks of not cleaning that tooth is horrible even if you are gargling with salt water and Corsodyl. She took out the stitch that hadn’t dissolved and checked it all. “Healing well” but again, bled a lot when she started poking around it. Now I have to use special brushes to clean and push down the gum around the tooth with Corsodyl. Next appointment in 3 months.

In the afternoon I managed to clear the pile of ironing that has built up.  I would have rather been in the garden in the sun!

Tuesday 22nd April 2025

In the morning we went to Kearsney in the sun. It is such a lovely place to walk through the woods, see all the new ducklings and then sit and have a coffee. Ellie is a creature of habit and always drags us to the cafe if we were thinking of going another way!

So much wild garlic in the woods, so of course had to pick some to cook. It was such a lovely day.

In the evening we went to The Marlowe Theatre to see Tony Blackburn and his Sounds of the Sixties show. I loved it, all the memories from my youth, starting at 1961. You have to give Tony credit for his energy, even singing and dancing on stage and he is 82!! By the end we were all up singing and dancing. A real feel good night.
