Tris and Violet arrived in the morning and so we took a drive to Deal and had our lunch out and then a walk along the sea front and pier.
I still find it difficult to believe how mild it is and the sun was out!
Rhys was working and Torin was having a night in with the twins. Later in the evening Jemma and Dom came over for a couple of hours.
After Violet had gone to bed we celebrated the new year with Tris.

Later we went to Wingham Wildlife Park. There are two lions there that have been rescued from a French circus, a few years ago and they look so unhappy, They hadn’t been treated well and it is one of these lions who moans and used to keep us awake when we lived at Shatterling. Poor things.
We took Ellie for a long walk in the woods. I can’t believe that bluebells are coming up. The weather is crazy for nearly January!
Then it was time for Josie’s 6th Birthday which was held at Snappy’s in Whitstable, The girl who organises the entire party was excellent. River and Tariq came too and Ollie wouldn’t join in one of the games and poor River ended up taking his place!

We all went to Rowney Warren at Chicksands with the three dogs. No rain today!
Ellie decided that she would lie down in a very muddy puddle and then put her nose in and flick it all over her. Everyone was laughing at her and the more people laughed, the more she did it! We bought Scarlet and Jack a camera each for Christmas because they are always asking to borrow mine. They love them and haven’t stopped using them. Jack took his to the woods as he said he had to photograph some “nature”! Of course they had to take photos of Mr Sanders tree house too.
Back for lunch and then we left and drove home. We were in time to watch Hammers play. Mal’s very pleased they won!

Torin and I were up early and out with Scarlet and Jack and the three dogs. We went to Chicksands woods. The three dogs were all over the place really enjoying themselves in as many muddy puddles as they could find.
We had a lovely day playing games and another long walk in the afternoon.

A change of plan for the whole day. Torin, Charlotte, Scarlet and Jack were coming to stay but last night Jack fell out of his top bunk and head first on to the floor. The hospital said he had to be “observed” because of the bang to his head and kept quiet! So we drove Tris and Violet home and then we went to Torin’s with bags full of food! Jack seems to have recovered well thankfully.
Wishing each and every one of you a very Happy, Peaceful Christmas
(Noeliniz Ve Yeni Yiliniz Kutlu Olsun)
Mal and Maggie
Marion really enjoyed herself spending Christmas day with us. Mal put a lot of music and games on her tablet so she was very pleased with that. In the evening Tris and Violet came round and also Mal’s other sister Debbie and her partner Dave.
