My day in Demelza and as I guessed, it was very quiet. It was a funny time of year…Twixmas.

It was Josie’s 10th birthday and so we all went to Raise Oriental Buffet in Sheerness, one of their favourite places to eat. Tariq offered to drive us which was really nice of him. Wow, the food there was something else , they had all sorts, the Thai was good and they even had turkey roast with all the trimmings. I stuck to the King Prawns, Mussels and squid and also sushi…..so good. The staff put on “Happy Birthday” and brought out a cake for Josie. I think she got quite embarrassed with everyone singing and clapping and it did go on a bit!

We all ate so much that we then went to Minster on Sea for a walk along the sea front.

Back to Lou and Rhys’s house and Jo had her second birthday cake!

After taking Ellie we went to Canterbury to Jem and Dom’s new flat where later Tris and Violet arrived. After they gave us Christmas presents (we had posted theirs!) we all went out for lunch.

I went to Westwood to get the rest of Josie’s birthday presents. It was OK when I arrived but started getting very busy so that was when I came home! Ellie is quite happy with all her toys but we bought her an antler for Christmas. She promptly opened it in Rhys’s garden.

We went indoors and she obviously buried it and we couldn’t find it! That was a waste of £10 but she does have plenty of other things to keep her amused.

In true family tradition, even though it was raining, we went to the zoo.  We saw the  baby elephant and also one of the baby gorillas and of course the very beautiful tigress Arina.

It was then all back to our house for a buffet. As usual, too much food!

We were all awake early and we drove over to Rhys’s ready for the grand present opening and we had some lovely gifts. It’s all a bit hectic with so many of us.

We had a brilliant day and played games in the afternoon.
This was one of the presents we bought Tariq. That really caused a laugh.

Late evening Tariq, River , Rhys and the two dogs walked Mal and I along to the hotel where we were staying the night.
