Busy all day but I am not sure what we were doing, the time seems to rush by.  Tariq ran to Deal castle and back.

We have started watching The Queen’s Gambit and so watched another episode of that followed by the Hammers game…they won!

Tariq popped home to collect some of his keep fit equipment. Mal and I went to Deal and walked to Walmer. It was quite misty and a bit colder than it has been. Border Force were out patrolling.

In the afternoon we had a roast and watched Man U and also Spurs. I have to say the Spurs game was boring!

I took Tariq his tea up again, he groaned, I left it there. Mal took Ellie for a walk, I went shopping and when I came back he was still sleeping! He did surface eventually and then we watched the football. I had forgotten quite how enthusiastic (loud!) he is during games. I think he should have been a football manager, all the instructions he gives!

I made a lemon drizzle cake and a trifle, two things Tariq loves! Well, he did buy me the Creme de Cassis that I soak the trifle in!

Tariq asked me to wake him as he has been sleeping in late since he came back from the States. I did with a cup of tea. I knocked twice on the door and then just took it in. I made him jump, “out of his skin” he said! I can’t imagine where he thought he was! A good thing he didn’t have a rifle in his hand!! Lol.

We all went for a walk and then Tariq went off for a run.

After lunch Mal and Tariq went to the allotment. In the evening we watched The Green Mile. A good film and Tariq hadn’t seen it before.

Quite a dull day. Today is the day we should have been driving to Skeggy for the Great British Folk Festival Weekend. Yes another thing  cancelled but we have had our monies refunded. Just a shame we were not going as it is such a good weekend.

Very disappointed to hear that we have been placed in Tier 3!! WHAT??!!

Late afternoon Tariq arrived. He has isolated since returning from USA and is joining our household. Just as well he is staying here as Ollie is isolating from school!

We walked Ellie around Sandwich, calling in at the post office to post some Christmas things to go to Cyprus.

We saw neighbours Monica and her husband. They had their elderly, sick dog put to sleep about a year ago. They would like another dog but say that they have contacted all the rescues with no luck.

Every now and again I try a new meal. In the evening I cooked Mary Berry’s Thai salmon as I love Thai food…..neither of us liked it. I won’t be cooking that again!

Paul O’Grady’s programme about Kent was on TV. Tonight he was sea bound from Dover, stopping to see the seals at Sandwich/Pegwell and then on to Whitstable.

Another lovely day, so off to Stone Bay. Ellie chases around so much and then sleeps for the rest of the afternoon!

I sent for an antler for her and that arrived so she chewed on that for the rest of the day. She loves them.
