As I am sure I have mentioned before, the two sides of Cyprus can’t even agree on what they are going to discuss in the Cyprus Talks!!  Is this the proof that they are unable to work together? The talks should have begun in October, we are now almost into December.

Another walk in the mountains, very breezy and nice.

We then went into Girne to pay for my car tax. Well, all the car parks around that office were full and cars parked all along the double yellows and even double parked! Total chaos.Well, the grand total of 67.13tl for the year, just over £20!

An early morning walk in the mountains which looked quite mystical amongst the clouds. We started out with fleeces on, the higher we went, the hotter we became! We need a Golden Retriever! All these lovely walks and no dog.

I met up with Sue and Tanya lunchtime at The Cabin. Couldn’t believe we were the only ones in the restaurant. What a coincidence that I mentioned about getting a Golden Retriever….Tanya has just got one, all 6 puppies now have homes! I wasn’t impressed! We had a nice lunch and a good old chin wag.

I bought Cyprus Today on the way home.

We have now discovered what the drilling platform was that we saw out at sea early Saturday morning….or do we know?

We were just going to go out for a walk and it started raining, so decided against it. Instead we did some more gardening in between the light showers.  It was a bit of a miserable, cloudy day so went to have our lunch at Nosheens. This time we tried different things on their 15tl menu. The waiter laughs at us, as we again didn’t want to eat indoors! We were the only silly people sitting outside but it wasn’t cold.  I know the locals have had their jumpers, scarves and gloves on since September but we are made of hardier stuff! Back in the UK we used to have BBQ’s in winter. We just like being out in the fresh air.

Down into the ravine in the morning for a walk. It’s still very muddy down there. Later I went to Nulten Oral to get my hair cut. While I was gone the kittens, who haven’t shown their faces for days decided to come and play again and I think Mal played with them the whole time I was out! You can’t actually get near to them but Mal was playing with them through the patio door!

 

Thought for the day –  Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.

Lapta Walkway was calling again and so we had a brisk, arm swinging walk all along there and back. Lots of fishermen out again and quite a few walkers. We had to laugh at this dog who had made himself very comfortable at the side of the walkway!

We stopped at Lemar market on the way home and another Christmas present bought. Dawn has some really lovely silver jewellery.

We watched the football in the afternoon.
