I was out early again with Ellie, it was still hot. We walked along the river and it was quite disturbing that there were so many fish surfacing. I think had I a net with me, I could have hauled in at least 10. Does this suggest lack of oxygen? Not very clear photos as I was watching Ellie off lead!
Apart from Mal picking at the allotment, the rest of the day was in the garden. As the weather seemed set to change, we emptied her paddling pool and packed the big table and umbrella away. It was still very warm but Ellie found the best place, in front of the ‘dog level’ fan. She does hate the heat.
They are closing down some of the town’s roads. The film crews are already there and rumours of Brad Pitt (I don’t think so!) Also KCC can’t seem to work our that 17.00 – midnight is SEVEN hours, not 5!!
