Ellie and I were out and walking at 5 am again. Today they are warning it will be the hottest day and so we met a lot more dog walkers being sensible and taking their dogs early. Nothing new to me I used to do this in Cyprus. One walker was a Spanish lady with her Yorkie , Ellie just ran to her and sat down in front of her. She had pieces of cheese as a treat for her dog and of course Ellie could smell it and the lady couldn’t resist saying “Oh how adorable.” What a scrounger she is.
The rose bush that I planted next to Torin’s grave is doing well and the flowers are highly perfumed. I don’t see the point of ones that don’t smell strongly.
In the afternoon we went to Lou and Rhys’s. They were both working and the kids and I cooked dinner together and Ollie made a strawberry and cream sponge.
