Sunday 3rd June 2012

A real bargain for your garden here and lots more reduced prices on their website.

Scarlet and Jack woke up during the night because the rain was hammering so loudly on the caravan roof. I didn’t hear them but Torin did. I did wake a couple of times with the noise of the rain. Torin left in the morning as he has to work Monday and Tuesday, a short visit but lovely to see them.

Lou, Rhys and kids came round later and we headed off to the Captain Digby at Kingsgate, Broadstairs for lunch and purely because they had an indoor play area for the kids. After lunch, a short respite from the rain and we walked down to Botany Bay. Very “bracing” and this is June!

A stop at Asda on the way back and Mal and I mmanaged to stock up with some provisions. Rain and more rain. Rhys and co went back to the camp site and we watched the Thames Flotilla. It seems as though a lot around this area was cancelled!  I keep saying it but what a shame for this Jubilee weekend.

Thought for the Day – “ Weather is a great metaphor for life – sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad, and there’s nothing much you can do about it but carry an umbrella.”  ~ Terri Guillemets
