We left early and drove over to Kearsney. A nice swim for Ellie. There are a lot of dogs walkers over there early morning , obviously before the owners leave for work.

We popped into the garden centre on the way home.

A long walk with Ellie before it became too hot.

It was the semi final for the Lionesses and I had Hatters lunch. I was going to cancel going but instead drove there quickly at half time. They had the match on in the other bar at the pub, so I watched the second half on my phone. A couple of Hatters moaned that they hated football , so I told them to go and sit up the other end of the table as I wasn’t turning it off!  Mind you we had a loud resounding cry when it finished and they won, I think we woke the whole pub up!

Tuesday 15th August 2023

I took Ellie over the fields, she really runs fast over there now  and loves it. She loves having a roll in the grass on the way round.

Mal was sorting out things at the Jubilee Centre. He then went off to his art class.

Monday 14th August 2023

A very busy day at the Cancer Research shop, so that was good.

In the evening we went to the Bell in Minster for our dinner. Monday night is pie and pudding night (all for £12!)  Their pies are huge, I can never manage to eat it all. They also brought out 2 large Bonios for Ellie!

My cheesecake was strawberry and champagne!

Sunday 13th August 2023

First thing to Kearsney Abbey with Ellie and of course she ran straight for the stream. She certainly runs fast nowadays.

We stopped at Home Bargains on the way home, it is a huge one with a garden centre, so I bought some plants and bulbs.

Football in the afternoon, Spurs drew.

Saturday 12th August 2023

We walked Ellie and then back home to watch the football, both matches and yes, the Lionesses are through to the semi final!

Kerry popped in early evening. He was on his way to meet Tris.

Friday 11th August 2023

Sadly another night of Mal coughing all night, plus a sore throat. It is unusual for him to be ill! We had breakfast quite early before all the wedding guests arrived in the restaurant! Ellie, is just so laid back.

We packed and then went for a walk around the grounds before leaving. There were a couple of fishermen who had obviously been there all night.

We stopped at Romney on the way home and had lunch at Deblyns Tea Room. Unlike other places we have visited, we can always depend on them. It is also a really nice garden to sit in and lovely owner.  And someone wanted to share our sandwiches!

Back home and lot of watering to catch up with and so many tomatoes have ripened in the garden, I can imagine loads more in the allotment, when we manage to get down there.
