A nice walk kicking all the leaves. There are a lot of fungi around.

I was waiting to book my booster jab until I had finished my Maxillofacial treatment, just in case I had any reaction. Today I thought I would have a look to see if I could tie it up with my last Maxillo as they do it at the same clinic. No I can’t, they have no appointments, nor does the pharmacy in Deal where I had the first two nor Sandwich Health centre. I thought I would look to see where walk in places are. The nearest one Southend which is 100 miles away. The only option open to me is Saga, mid December, so I had to take it.

Things aren’t looking to good in Sandwich. Three councillors walked out of a meeting and resigned last week and now they have spread this notice around

That’s not good and Mal was supposed to be having an allotment committee meeting in the afternoon.

He went off to his art classes in the morning, I cleared leaves up, and look who I found!

I went to Westwood to pick up a click and collect Christmas present and bought a couple more Christmas things. I saw Rhys at the big roundabout obviously just dropped his school run boy off. We waved to each other!

I also went to Sainsburys, a huge Sainsburys but there were no small trollies there. As I lugged my shopping around in a carry basket which was heavy, on the way out, I asked one of the staff if they could bring some small trollies indoors.  “He’s out there collecting them” was the reply and then she turned her back on me.  Customer service has certainly disappeared. Well, funny how I couldn’t see anyone in the car park collecting them!

It was like a spring day when we walked Ellie.

Mal then went to the allotment to get the vegetables for our roast. The parsnips are huge and some nice fat juicy carrots.

Mal did most of the preparation and cooking for our Sunday roast, I could eat most of it, after having soup up until then because of my teeth!

I went into Deal as I had to get some shopping. The market was on but I only managed to get the basics and came back home. I bought some nice flowers for Torin’s grave. As I seem to get a lot of ulcers Doc Anna suggested I change my toothpaste and take vitamin B12, so I bought some.

I also took my watch into Timpsons as the battery had run out. I bought a lifetime battery replacement certificate in 2016. Well worth the money as he said for my Rotary watch the batteries had now gone up to £11! Is it only us oldies who still wear watches?

In the afternoon I took the flowers round to the cemetery.

My first Maxillofacial appointment. The appointments made recently were all changed and moved forward “owing to staff shortages.” I can’t say I was looking forward to it but I have waited over three years.

Doctor Anna is really lovely, explained it all first and said she would be dealing with a quarter of my mouth. She also said some people had one treatment and chose not to have any more, which was fine by her. So I asked if it was that bad!! She said some people just can’t cope with it . At least she is honest. So, she worked on a quarter of my mouth for an hour. I was numb right up to my eye . I was  dizzy when I stood up when she had finished.

This could only happen to me…in the middle of the treatment the fire alarm went off!! She said to the nurse she wasn’t stopping unless she smelt burning!! They hadn’t been told it was a fire drill but everyone else left the building except us evidently, she carried on regardless. It had been a fire drill!

I started on the pain killers as I know when the injections wear off, it is going to be painful for a while.

Mal went to Dover with me and took Ellie to the park close by so they had fun.

When we went to Sheerness last week, I filled my car up with petrol. Rhys had told me Tesco there was the cheapest but I didn’t know why until Rhys sent me this today! I must say at first I thought it was a joke!

In the evening we watched the football. OK England won but the second half was boring and there could have been more goals.

My grandfather was one of the fallen to be remembered today.

We took Mal’s sisters birthday present over. We stopped at Botany Bay with Ellie as it is close by. We chose not to let her go in the sea  as it is probably still polluted as Southern Water who have been dumping sewage all around this coastline.

After we let her have a play on the sand we went on to the cliff top.

On to Marions and she was waiting with her coat on. Mal asked if she was cold and replied “no we are going to the zoo.” Oh dear, Mal phoned her and told her we would take her birthday present today and take her to the zoo next week! She then got quite upset, not because she wasn’t going out but because she had muddled it all up. She was OK by the time we left and will have the zoo to look forward to next week!

We walked Ellie over the fields, it was such a warm morning.

I met up with the Red Hatters for lunch at Stonelees Golf club. It was nice to see everyone.
