I met Rhys at Westwood early morning, when he dropped his student off and we went and had breakfast together. It was nice to see him a bit brighter than he has been, he just has to carry on with the antibios and make sure he eats properly, not so easy with the hours he works. We did a bit of a shop around Sainsburys then he went home for a sleep.
Later Mal and I went over to the carpet shop for our final decision on flooring and he gave us a final price for the lot. They go on holiday now and will return mid April. That suits us as we have some decorating to do before the stair carpet is laid.
Early evening we took Ellie to Eagle Vets for her annual injections . I have been going to this vets from the time it opened in Minster. I was George’s first customer with another Goldie I had at the time and a scatty English Setter! Ellie also has a small lump by one of her nipples. As it is by her mammary gland, the vet wants to operate to see what it is and send it away to see if it is malignant. I know that Golden Retrievers have a predisposition for mammary cancer, so fingers crossed she is OK. She has her op on 19th. The vet did ask if she had been spayed and yes we had her spayed as soon as we took over her care. A good thing we have insurance, their estimate for this procedure is £600.
Totally unconcerned she plays with her teddy when she is home!
