We took Ellie before the rain started and then went shopping for paint. We bought some in the Range, Dulux Easycare for one bedroom (25% off) but we are not sure about the other rooms so bought some tester pots which they had reduced to 10p each!
Next Mal wanted some Leyland white paint for the ceilings. We knew they had it in Screwfix Broadstairs but tried Wickes before we made the drive over there. They had it but it was £8 more expensive, So Mal dumped their shopping basket but took it by mistake through the second door and the alarm went off. Immediately an assistant came out to him…..by this time I was half way back to the car. He explained to the assistant that he hadn’t bought anything because the Leyland paint was far more expensive than Screwfix and had taken the basket through that door by accident. So the assistant told him that Wickes had a price promise so he could have it at the Screwfix price!! We never knew that before. We’ll be going there more often. We have plenty more paint to buy. After all that excitement we came home!!
