We took Ellie to the park and I popped into the Co op. So nice to have a shop so handy.
Mal went on the list for Sandwich allotments and they told him there was a long waiting list. Last week they told him he was number 2 and if the first person was no longer interested than they would offer it to him. It seems people put their names down and then lose interest and today he has been offered plot 47!! It doesn’t take much to make him happy!! He is over the moon and hopefully this allotment won’t be full of hungry rabbits as the Preston one was.
Lunchtime I went off to meet the rest of the Red Hatters as it is the 20th birthday of the Red Hatters so we had our own celebration at Strawberry Fields in Birchington. Jackie made us such a lovely cake but we had so much cake with our afternoon tea, the owner of the coffee house boxed some of the cakes for us to take home. A really nice lady owns the coffee house. We were a bit noisy and she didn’t mind at all!
Mal enjoyed the cake I brought home. We took a walk round to his new allotment. There’s a lot of work to do but there are some strawberry plants and raspberry canes too and an apple tree!
