Happy Birthday to Lou!! It was her birthday so after walking Ellie at Reculver (Ellie now has a nose for moles!), we called in with her presents before they set off for a day in Brighton.
Tris and Violet were in Margate and so we met up with them for late afternoon tea. We went to the Curious Cupcake but they were closing at 4 and so we left and looked for another place. The Mad Hatter was open which surprised us as it has been closed for months. It now has a new owner and there were really nice staff in there. We went upstairs to Queen Victoria’s Parlour. We were all surprised when Violet chose the Mini Mad Hatter Tea which was served on a 3 tier cake stand and she ate the lot!! Her blackcurrant juice was served in a tea pot, the same as our tea. It’s a really quaint place and we will be going back there.
We also went into Cuttings , our favourite jewellers to see how much they will charge for making my wedding ring and engagement ring smaller. I had them enlarged when I lived in Cyprus and my fingers used to swell. As usual with them, a reasonable price so we will take them in next week. Mal bought my antique engagement ring there and they made my wedding ring to match and they are possibly the only jewellers I totally trust. They have been there for so many years and are so nice.
