Ellie and I were out early and a long walk by the river. By the time we were back on the quay, they were setting up stalls for today’s festival.
A lady at one of the stalls made a real fuss of Ellie and started chatting to me…..she came from Famagusta!
After lunch Lou, Rhys, Ollie Oscar and Josie came over and we all went to the festival and took Ellie with us. There were really a lot of people there, especially for the duck race. They evidently made £7,000 for charity! We had a good spot near the finish line.
It’s such a shame so many of the events were called off yesterday because of the rain.
Sad to say none of us won and so to drown our sorrows we went to the Crispin Inn for a drink.
Back to our house for some pizza.
We really had a good time. After they left we watched the football. Just as well they didn’t stay to watch it as Spurs (my team) beat Man U (their team) 2-0!!
