We went for a walk in the ravine, just missing the goats! The photo is of the new Alsancak “sea line” now the Merits are finished. From left to right, Royal Premium, Merit Royal and Merit Crystal Cove. Three huge hotels.
Royal Premium and Merit Royal both do an excellent buffet lunch including all your drinks for 60tl. Well worth a visit.
I picked a lot of basil and have frozen it and of course planted a lot more. Love it! Mal had a morning of mending things, like fairy wings that had broken in the wind.
Sad news from Karsiyaka Turtle Watch……………….
“No excavations tonight. Not a good morning….. a nest has been badly tampered with possible damage to eggs, many of our beach zone markers have been removed and a dead turtle was washed up overnight. The turtle had been decapitated possibly by fishing line which was also round a flipper, it was a juvenile ‘green’, too young to sex. If you see any activity like this please report it to us asap.”
One of Mal’s famous wobbly teeth fell out tonight into his dinner. It has been loose for about a week! He had 6 wobbly teeth about 16 years ago that a dentist in the UK insisted had to come out immediately. There was nothing wrong with any of the teeth and Mal just told him, when they are ready to come out they will! I think this may be number 4 or 5. So, a trip to the dentist in the near future!
In the evening we had some viewers to look at the house.
