We were up in the mountains for our walk and then another lazy day. Well, I am sure no one really feels like doing energetic things in July and August here in Cyprus.
I have grown and am still growing a lot of basil. It has to be my favourite herb, so what better for dinner than pasta with home made pesto….so good.
I know the lizards enjoy it too. I often catch baby lizards having a nibble. You can even see a few chewed leaves. Thankfully Ellie is much gentler with lizards than Rosie ever was. We used to have lots running around minus their tails but Ellie doesn’t jump on them quite the same way Rosie did.
How strange writing on here about lizards and what did Ellie find in the evening, walking across the swimming pool terrace…….
It had its tail up in the air and was hissing at her. We managed to get Ellie to leave it while it slowly continued its walk across the terrace. It was quite a big one. I know we had some babies in the pampas grass last year.
