We went off to get some shopping, brought it back to the caravan. We went into Tesco and I had two vouchers given to me with my last till receipt for two packs of Kleenex Wipes, worth £6. After searching the entire store we gave up and asked an assistant where they had hidden them. She replied that they don’t stock them!! Of course we then asked why they were giving the vouchers (printed from their tills) along with our last till receipt. She couldn’t give us an answer. On the bottom of my till receipt there was a question “How did we do?”, so I have answered their question, perhaps I will receive an explanation from them.
I am still wondering why their tills print vouchers for things they don’t stock?!
Later we took the car back to the airport. No one was in the Avis Office so we left the key in their letterbox as instructed.
Manston Airport was a hive of activity …NOT… as you can see from the photo! There never seems to be anyone there. At the moment it is mostly used for cargo. Anyway it was a nice walk back along the country lanes.
In the evening we were all set to watch the England v Poland game. What a farce that was, a water logged pitch but they couldn’t make a decision as to whether the match was to be cancelled. They even have a roof but hadn’t put the roof on. At least the commentators made us laugh, trying to fill the time in until a decision was made. The game is rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
