Peace and Freedom Day in North Cyprus but we won’t be there to celebrate this year. There were fireworks last night at Escape Beach. Tomorrow is the start of Ramadan. No food and drink in daylight hours, in all that heat.
We caught the train into Victoria and then the coach to Stansted. We went to collect our hire car from Budget (booked through Easycar). They gave us a smaller car than we had booked and then told us to take it up with Easycar. Yes, if we had a phone nummber for Easycar we would have done. So, we drove back to Biggleswade and emailed them, the only way we can contact them. On the way to Torin’s we stopped at Sainsbury’s and who did we bump into but Lou’s dad and Wendy! Small world.
Early evening we went to Karen’s and she cooked us the most delicious roast and then we had birthday cake as it is Torin’s 40th on Sunday. Scarlet didn’t like the candle on the cake! It did go off like a firework. Thank you Karen, it was lovely.
