We took Ellie for a nice walk in some woods and then went to meet Val and Bob, long time friends of my sisters who I haven’t seen for about 12 years but they live about 5 miles away from the caravan park. It was nice to see them after all this time. We went to the Ship in Kirby le Soken and we had lunch in the garden. They came with their dog but it just barked at everyone and Ellie as well, even though Ellie wanted to be friends! The pub was very dog friendly even having a water station in the garden!

It was a really enjoyable lunch. After leaving them we went to Great Holland Nature Reserve. Dogs are allowed off lead there. Ellie doesn’t wander anyway. BUT there are snakes there, so we were back to stamping on the ground as we walked, as we used to do in Cyprus!

We were the only people in the whole nature reserve and it was so peaceful, we wondered why. It is called Great Holland Pits as they used to be gravel pits.
In the evening we took our seats and drinks and sat by the lake.
