I ordered a birthday present from Next and so went to Westwood to collect it. I asked for a gift receipt, just in case it wasn’t suitable. I was told no, as it had been ordered I couldn’t have one. I suggested that I had a refund, having paid when I ordered it, and then I buy it again. I was told no that couldn’t happen , it would go back to the warehouse. I just asked for my money back and walked out. Are these shops crazy nowadays? I spent the rest of the morning looking for an alternative, which I didn’t find!
A similar thing has happened with a “surprise” birthday present that I was getting Mal. Suddenly the price is increased from that shown online and also other misinformation! Back to square one with that one too. It used to be so easy going and buying presents, not any more.
In the evening we watched the last episode of Flesh and Blood.
