We have been waiting to paint fences but every time we are home and make the decision, it rains. Today we decided to sort the garden a bit more. I have two cherry trees in pots, so we emptied them out of the pots and took them to the allotment. There are also two trees in the garden which look silly, so they are going too! At least we can get all these out and then we can paint the fences. I have several climbers I have kept in pots until the fences are done.
Meanwhile I drove Mal to the allotment with the cherry trees. his allotment is certainly looking much better than it was but still a lot of work to go.
The guy who has the allotment next door asked me to go and look at his cauliflowers. They were massive. That is one thing Mal has never had much success at. He also showed me all the tools he has to make life easier for him. As I left he gave me a cabbage! He lives on his own or rather him and his dog Teddy and gives most of his vegetables away!
We had the first strawberries both from the allotment and from my garden. Rhys bought me three plants when we moved in.
