We went over to the house and Lou and Rhys came too. The previous tenant (maybe) had left the loft full! We obviously hadn’t noticed before so Lou and Rhys emptied everything out. A pile for the charity shop, a complete car load which Lou took to the tip and several more piles to be sorted. They also pulled up half of the decking in the garden. A lot of that was rotten where a water butt overflowed all over it. We are going to level and turf that side. Mal’s brother Steve and his wife Shirley are staying in a caravan in Birchington and asked us over for lunch. Afterwards they came over to see the house, so in fact we got very little work done.
