In the evening we went to see Fairport Convention. They were playing in St Mary’s Church in Sandwich, so we could just walk there. Their drummer , Gerry Conway died earlier this year and we found it strange that they didn’t mention him whereas they talk about Swarb frequently. So, at the moment they don’t have a drummer which gave the old men a good excuse to spend the night seated! They were still very good. and the decoration in the church looked good. The first photo is them hiding behind their instruments so they didn’t have to leave the stage for their encore!!
