We woke up to a frost but it was so toasty warm in the lodge! We drove into Eastbourne. We had thought of going beyond Eastbourne but it was quite a bitter wind so we didn’t bother. Another long walk along the sea front and a swim in the sea for Ellie and she found a friend.
We also watched a cormorant.

We then we went to “More than Cake” for a nice warm drink. (another dog friendly!)
Back to the lodge for a while and then we went to The Lamb at Hooe for lunch, of course they welcome dogs too and have a jar of bones on the floor inside and bowls of water.
Mal had a pie, it was rather big and then he had the cheeseboard. I had the most amazing dessert, all of it edible! It was a Black Forest Flower pot, edible flowers and chocolate flower pot.
I have to mention here that one of the reasons we left north Cyprus was lack of freedom of speech, erm, what is happening here with Gary Lineker?
Back to the lodge in time for the footie…Spurs won! Then of course watching Crufts.
Thought for the Day – “Fill your life with experiences, not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show.”
