We had a sprinkle of rain in the night, nothing to get excited about. I spent 3 hours the previous day watering the allotments. Of course other allotment holders were as well, so the water pressure was low.

Ellie and I were up early walking across the fields. They harvested yesterday, just before the drizzle of rain.

This is how dry the farmers field is, this is the footpath.

Mal arrived back late afternoon and was glad to be back home!

Another lovely day so Ellie and I were out very early. It’s surprising how many other early riser dog walkers there are.

Lou and Rhys came round and brought some fish and chips for lunch. They also bought a stair gate, to keep Marlene in when we look after her next week. It didn’t quite fit and so they have to get an extension for it.

It was nice to see them and have a sit in the garden and chat. They are really looking forward to their holiday. They bought the fish and chips in Ossies (Sandwich) and said what a lovely young boy they were served by, so nice and polite, so I have messaged Teresa to let her know as he obviously deserves a pat on the back!

Ellie and I were up early and went for a long walk across the fields.

There were huge gaps along the footpath where the ground has become so dry.

After breakfast I started painting the bannisters. It was just like being in Cyprus, the paint  drying on the brush!

Ellie and I were out walking early, the ducks were still asleep.

Mal went off to see his brother Steve for a few days. It gives his wife a bit of a break.

I had a massive clean up day and emptying another box in the loft.
