Lou came over with Ollie, Oscar and Josie. They have been waiting to go to the allotment and start work on their new patches in Grandad’s allotment. He had a lot of old wood to burn. They do like a good fire!
They also have a huge patch each and are planting the “three sisters”, growing sweetcorn, beans and squash together.
I came back early and cooked a roast which they all seemed to enjoy and of course followed by rhubarb crumble. Rhubarb from the allotment and I put some grated ginger in with it which makes it really tasty. We had our lunch out in the garden in the sun. It was Rhys’s first day back at work for over a year but I sent a dinner home for him.
