We packed up and headed for Rye, another place we love. We handed our keys in and told the receptionist we hadn’t been impressed with the cleanliness this time, renting the lodge is not cheap. She replied they have staff shortages as they have all gone to work in care homes…………………….what?!! Is that our problem. A good thing we take cleaning things with us. I don’t think we will be returning to that park again.
We planned going to the Corridor Cafe in Rye but how things change. They now only do take away and have turned the rest of the cafe into a clothes shop. People just have to go with what makes money nowadays but a shame as we used to love going there for lunch and it was dog friendly. Instead we went and had brunch at The Old Grain Store.
Ellie is such a scrounger and usually achieves what she sets out to do, everyone gives her biscuits!!
I couldn’t believe the queues at garages all the way back home, even blocking roads. People are crazy as they say a lot of garages are unable to get petrol supplies. I did call into a garage the previous day, only one pump was working, so I didn’t bother waiting, having not listened to the news!! Ah well, I have half a tank.
