We were up early, dropping Ellie and the car at Lou and Rhys’s and Lou took us to the airport. We were there earlier than usual as we weren’t too sure how long paper work (re vaccination documentation) would take, not as long as we thought!
It’s around a 3 hour flight to Malta so not too long and not too far to the hotel. A nice hotel right next to the sea – The Dolmen.
It had a large restaurant and then a slightly posher Delos cafe, which you have to book for. We did that on arrival. We had a good look around all the grounds and the 4 pools and there were also steps down to the sea amongst the rocks. We were all inclusive and so they stored our luggage and told us to go and have lunch, didn’t mind if we did, along with a cocktail. We ate in the Delos in the evening. Mal said it was the best steak he had for a very long time and I had a nice shellfish salad.
In the evening they had a duo singing in the Agora bar.
