Month: July 2021

It was quite humid overnight so I walked Ellie early and we went to buy the paper.

It is Lou and Rhys’s wedding anniversary. They planned to have a huge party and sent out invitations with Christmas cards. They knew by July Covid would be gone(!!) and it would give everyone something to look forward to. So far 11 of my family have cancelled, positive Covid tests, kids isolating having been sent home from school etc etc.  Such a shame but that’s life. Grandson Torin, his girlfriend is in hospital so unable to come. Lou’s step mother hurt her back so couldn’t come but for those of us that did make it, we had a good time and the rain stayed away.  I made pasta salad, a samosa pie and two trifles to take.

Ellie enjoyed it with all the attention and some bits off the BBQ! Of course, some of us watched the football! We won and a good game.

Paula wanted to go to the shoe shop in Ramsgate, so off we went. At least she bought two pairs and also bought some clothes in one of the shops, so a successful shop for her. It used to be market day on Friday but obviously no longer. Plus a lot of shops in the High Street have closed down. Such a shame especially when Amazon has just messed up an order of mine.

Of course two football matches in the evening and Murray is out o the tennis! The football was very enjoyable.

We took Ellie for a nice walk as the weather was really good for a change. In the afternoon Paula and I went into Deal. I had my hair cut and Paula wandered round the shops.

In the evening we had fish and chips from Ossies. Delicious.
