We took Ellie for a lovely walk but it was a bitter wind.
I then went to meet Rhys for lunch. It seems ages since I have seen him, he always seems to be working. We had a nice lunch together and then went round some of the shops. We both said that it really seemed so quiet at Westwood, a little like Canterbury the previous day. Is everyone shopping online nowadays?
It was still very windy when I arrived home and so I suggested that we went to the allotment to see if there was any storm damage. The wind by then was so cold and we discovered half of Mal’s shed roof had blown away and the door broken and all his tools and the entire shed contents were exposed. Also one of the fences in my allotment was down. We spent ages looking for the missing half of the roof. It’s surprising how far it had travelled but Mal managed to find it and then we spent until it was dark, trying to secure it, with the wind working against us. I was frozen by the time we were home.
