We were at Lou’s at 4 am and she drove us to Gatwick. Our Malta holiday we booked with Mercury Direct a company we hadn’t used before. We had visited Malta previously but it was many years ago. It was a good journey and the flight was only 2 hours 50 minutes, far better than the long flight to TRNC!
The hotel db Seabank was right by the sea in Mellieha, the opposite end of the island to the airport so we were the last to be dropped off.
We were all inclusive so we checked in and straight into lunch. Our room was huge!
The weather wasn’t too good, very windy! There are a lot of “returners” to the hotel, a very good sign!

We spent the rest of the day unpacking and finding where everything was.
Sadly I had a phone call from Heather’s husband to tell me that she had passed away. That was a shock.
