I took Ellie out early as it was a nice morning. We walked along the river as the sun was rising. A lovely start to the day.

Rhys has changed gyms and so I arranged to meet him after he had done his work out. We went to Margate and ate in Mullins Brasserie as we haven’t tried that for quite some time.  I had the Smoked paprika infused fish chowder to start and it  was so good.

My main was the swordfish. Rhys enjoyed his too. After lunch we went for a walk around Margate. They really are trying hard to make it upmarket and parts of it are.  We both remember the older Margate before the hipsters and Romanians moved in. It was nice having a walk around and seeing the changes.

My day at Demelza. It was very slow in the morning but picked up in the afternoon.

Mal had dinner ready when I arrived home.

Ellie’s walk was in the sun  again!

Later Ollie, Oscar and Josie came round. We watched some of the programme from the Cenotaph. This time last year Tariq was there (at Prince Charles right hand shoulder!) This year he had more important things to do!

 

They then went to the allotment with Grandad! They had to sort out their own patches and also helped Grandad do some work on the rest of it. We all watched the Man u game in the afternoon. Everyone fits on our new leather recliner sofa! At one point Ellie was on it as well.

I cooked dinner and just as I was dishing it up Lou arrived….very well timed! The leftovers she took home for Rhys. They had both been working.

I went shopping early to try and avoid the crowds.

In the afternoon we watched Spurs. 1-1! Later the Lady lions lost to Germany.

Another lovely day for a dog walk but we met two different people who had both lost their dogs in the last few days. Poor things.

It seemed like a dull day but we are not fairweather dog walkers so we took Ellie in the car and went to Minnis Bay. By the time we left the sun had started coming out.

We had lunch and then went to Wingham Wildlife park We joined for a year again. They  have a new orangutan, Molly but she isn’t in the public view yet as she is still settling in. We watched the Bengal Hybrid tigers being fed.

We also spotted the baby chimp who was being a total pain to his parents and the red panda who doesn’t come down from the trees very often. All the chimps here were rescued from a laboratory in the US.

We had a lovely walk in the sun. I was supposed to have met Rhys for lunch but his filling fell out and so he had to go to the dentist. At least he was able to get it sorted.
