We walked Ellie, a scarf around my face because of the gum/tooth ache.

Later we went and bought a new TV stand. All well and good but after moving the TV, we couldn’t seem to get Sky! Mal managed eventually.

I had my weigh in at Slimming World after a week and a loss of 5 and a half pounds, so I was pleased with that.

Demelza day. We were quite busy but I had toothache or rather gum ache, I couldn’t quite fathom the cause. I had the same thing over Christmas and made a dental appointment then which was a long time ahead…next Thursday. Meanwhile plenty of pain killers!

We took Ellie out for her walk and then went to Lou and Rhys’s. Lou had prepared all the meal and was going on a 14 mile run with Rhys training her, he was on his bike. She is training for the London Marathon.

Meanwhile we kept our eye on the cooking and made an apple crumble and Mal did experiments with the kids.

After lunch we all watched the Man U v Spurs game. I was in the minority and sadly Man U won! Part of me was pleased Man U won as they may now consider keeping Ole Gunnar Solskjær on as manager, that is the 6th game they have won since he has been the ‘stand in’.

We took Ellie out and then had a wander through the town, of course calling in the charity shops! I always find the bargains in there.

Mal was pleased in the afternoon as we watched the Hammers game and they won.

I then watched the film ’84 Charing Cross Road’, I read the book many years ago and it is also a long time since I saw the film.

Beach day and so we went off to Stone Bay. Ellie loves the beach day, in the sea, rolling in the sand and also burying her ball! We even saw a curlew.

In the evening I watched “The Paras” and decided I was very pleased Tariq chose the Royal Marine Commandos, they are much more elitist.

I met up with Rhys for lunch and we ate at Toby. It seems all the restaurants are having offers at the moment. We both had lots of vegetables and no greasy potatoes! It was nice to see Rhys and have a good chat. Of course I put some of my meat in a bag to take home for Ellie! We then had a wander around Sainsbury’s.

Another chilly day but I remembered my hat and scarf for our walk today!

We had a Red Hatter meeting at lunchtime and decided on a few things we will do in the future. We met up in the Comfort Inn. I decided to have a jacket potato for lunch and seeing as there were a good selection on the menu, I decided on a prawn one. We went to order…no jacket potatoes, OK, we’ll have baguettes….no baguettes. All of these were on the menu. So thinking of Slimming World I asked if I could have an omelette with salad. No!! Omelette comes with chips. I told him I didn’t want chips and as they had no jacket potatoes nor baguettes and the fact that salads were also on the menu then surely that was ok….NO! So, I told him I didn’t want anything if I couldn’t have that. The others ordered sandwiches. How ridiculous, it will be the last time I ever go there.

We did however manage to make decisions on future trips.

I made myself a jacket potato when I got home!
