I didn’t have a very good nights sleep as I had Ellie sleeping next to the bed. It was so very warm in the bedroom that I didn’t want Ellie to have to wear the “babygro” which meant every time I heard a licking noise, I was up and checking she wasn’t touching her dressing. She didn’t but then she was still a little drowsy from the anaesthetic.
More pain killers for her in the morning but she wasn’t in a rush to get up. Mal prepared to take Roddie out and of course she wanted to go. I was only going to take her to the field opposite, very close to our house but she got there and lay down and looked at the wound. I think because she had been so still she hadn’t realised the stitches would pull. Back home and she slept again.
Tariq arrived later in the day, he has come to stay for the weekend. It’s so lovely to have him here, after all grandchildren have their own interesting lives especially in the Marines!
In the evening we watched the Liverpool v Norwich game. Not good.
Ellie is being so good so far and not attacking her wound. Thank goodness I haven’t had to use the medical shirt.
