Another lovely day for a long walk.

When we were almost home we saw a guy in a wheelchair being lifted into a car and realised the labrador Hendrix, who Ellie plays with often in the evenings, is a service dog. I think it is his brother who brings him over to the field for a mad run around.

I was very surprised mid morning that it was 39.5 degrees in the conservatory! Wow, maybe spring is on its way.

Lou rang to say the car is finished and she is going to bring it round tomorrow. What service, she has sorted it all out for us, bless her.

Mal cooked me a lovely meal in the evening and then we watched Green Book, a really nice film.

Another lovely day and so another walk with Ellie. It was nice to see that the council have just erected a dog poo bag post by the park. Having said that most of us dog walkers carry loads with us.

At least the council have spent some of their money on something sensible for a change instead of a quarter of a million for an architect to redesign the Guild Hall forecourt in Sandwich. Now that is scandalous.

Wicked productions who put on the Christmas panto we go and see, are performing a “laugh a minute” version of Jungle Book in the Easter holidays, so we have booked tickets for that.

We decided to go for our Valentines meal a day early! So we went to the Crispin and both had their goat curry. They had a new barmaid who we were not impressed with. No lemon in my G&T, Mal handed his card over at the bar when he ordered and she asked if she should add gratuities to it. Mal told her he tipped for good service and good food and we had received neither as yet! How cheeky. Had Pam and Terry been around I think we would have told them.

Tariq drove me home the previous night as I have left my car at Lou and Rhys’s as I was horrified to discover that my MOT had run out! I have never done that in my life! As Mal says, circumstances since we have lost Torin have changed, hopefully normal life will be restored one day. Meanwhile my car is illegal! I had it in my head it was the end of February but no it was not. Lou and Rhys use a very good garage for their taxis and Lou contacted them and they have fitted me in today! They are also going to take it down for me.

Mal and I took Ellie out for a lovely long walk as the sun was out and it was such a lovely day.

On the way home we called in at our bank as we wanted to change the type of account we had. We tried online but they told us to go into branch. Well, it took over three quarters of an hour but Ellie got a lot of attention and they made us coffee!

Well, my car failed the MOT but nothing major and we have also asked for a service, so this will all be done on Thursday. I am grateful to Lou for sorting it out for me at such short notice and also taking the car down to the garage.  It stays in Herne Bay until it is all done.
