I took Ellie out early, just as well because it rained on and off all day. Lou did so much glossing over at the house. I had to go and buy more gloss and more paint for the living room (now the 4th coat!) Westwood was manic, the usual panic buying for bank holidays. I really don’t understand people. It’s only two days bank holidays. I spent more time packing.
We managed to get a replacement door lock from our local ironmongers (they were shut the previous day). Mal fitted it but it only had two keys so I went back round to the shop to have more cut. I left the key there until later as the key cutter was at lunch. I walked back in the rain just before they closed, only to be told that he couldn’t cut it as it was a specialised one and I would have to get a locksmith to order one. I told him I had bought the lock from him and he just suggested I bought a different lock! My goodness, things are never easy.
Mal later looked it up on the internet and it appears that Timpson do them! Another day!
I had a really bad day, it happens.
