Sunday 3rd June 2018

The hotel we were staying at in Worthing was so hot. The room we were in, the window only opened a small gap. So, we had tea and then left fairly early and headed for Hastings and decided to have breakfast there.

We walked around the old town first. This was the first time we discovered 20th Century Funking Junk, a fascinating place selling second hand everything you could imagine, it just went on and on. We will have to go there again. They had some lovely garden pots but they were too heavy for us to carry back to the car park and Hastings sea front was getting very busy by this time!

We then discovered there was Free Jazz and Blues Fest on. So we went into that and they had food stalls, so we had kedgeree and coffee for breakfast. Lovely sitting in a deck chair in the sun with really good music playing.

Next we went to the wet fish shop for some crabs and prawns to take home for Lou and Rhys and of course for us too.

On the drive back Rhys called to ask if w wanted a BBQ. Of course we said yes, we were going there anyway to collect Ellie and give them their shell fish. Had we known a little earlier we could have bought some fish for the BBQ. But we had really nice food and sat in the sun.

The perfect finish to the weekend. Tariq was home but he had gone down the beach with his mates.
