Mal’s and my 20th wedding anniversary. A year or so ago, we decided that we would have a big family celebration. For reasons I won’t go into here, we got married on our own in Weymouth. Let’s just say someone was stalking! So, to make up for it I was going to get the whole family together and it would be convenient as it is a weekend. Sadly I no longer want to do it without Torin and the twins. It just wouldn’t be the same, so it will be a quiet day, just Mal and I.
Mal bought me a lovely Susan Lordi anniversary ornament.
In the evening we went to The Dog at Wingham. We booked this and then someone told me they had an awful meal there, so we were a little concerned. We needn’t have been. The food really was 5* and the staff really lovely too.
The menu was really good and the waitress helpful as I didn’t know what “coco di Paimpol” was. Basically it is a bean!
I had lobster ravioli, then more fish of course and then the most amazing quince souffle. In fact the best I have ever had!
In spite of our reservations it turned out to be a very good night. The only negative was the local Kent distillery gin which wasn’t too my taste but my fault for ordering it!
