We walked by Gazen Salts. Success the “no dogs” poster has been removed from the nature reserve! Yeah! Well done Mal.

I went to Westwood to meet Rhys for lunch. We decided to try the Hooden Horse as neither of us had been there before.  Considering it was Black Friday and the shops were packed, it was surprisingly empty in there and really lovely helpful staff.

After lunch we had a wander around the shops, agreeing that very few prices had dropped for Black Friday! A lot were the same price earlier in the week.

I heard from Rhys in the evening and he said he was still full up. It was a big pie!

I was supposed to be meeting Rhys for lunch but he wasn’t well so had to cancel, hopefully we will do it tomorrow.

Mal said it seemed a shame for the table to go to waste so we should go! A lot of eating out this week! So, we went and also I did a shop in Lidl as I had a £10 off £40 spend and it ended today! That was easy to use with a bottle of gin etc.  Mal does hate shopping but that was the deal if he wanted lunch. I  think a lot of businesses are struggling, this was another 50% off lunch! There is very little I pay full price for.

In the evening I watched ‘Juliet naked’, purely because it was filmed in Broadstairs. It really was not worth watching!

We took Ellie out today in the sun! We had scarves and gloves and didn’t need them. The weather is a little changeable.

More time, too much time, spent sorting Christmas presents and then we had to take the deposits for the Red Hatters Christmas lunch at the Crispin. We took Ellie,had a drink and then Mal said we may as well stay for lunch, so we did. Pam and Terry were not busy so we spent a while chatting to them. Thankfully Pam didn’t have any Belgian white chocolate cheesecake on the menu as I can’t resist it! I won’t waste the calories on any other dessert!

I watched Paul O’Grady in the evening and loved the golden retriever that had been left outside Battersea. It had been chipped but the owner wouldn’t get in touch. A good thing I was watching it as Ellie is obviously chipped but I had forgotten to change the address when we moved! I updated it online straight away! A reminder to any other pet owners?

I also started looking for head stones for Torin. I must be improving slightly to be able to even think about it.

Then of course we are now addicted to “I’m a celebrity”!

Rain. sleet and cold, not the best walk with Ellie but she enjoyed it. We were all very wet.

I had been sent another 50% off voucher for Punch Tavern so we went there for lunch. It wasn’t very busy, obviously why all these places are offering ridiculous price cuts.

It looks lovely there in the summer!

In the evening we watched ‘The Children Act’, a good film.

The day at Demelza. I waited for the normal bus, it didn’t turn up!

The huge Christmas market has taken over Canterbury, that and the dismal wet weather we didn’t have a good day. The trouble is our shop is not on the main drag and now the market stalls are much more attractive. Hopefully it is just the novelty that all the stalls are new.

Mal had dinner ready when I arrived home. Ellie was in her favourite position, in her favourite place! What a life she has.

We walked Ellie, still sunny but a bit cooler. Then back home and I prepared lunch for Lou and the kids. Rhys had an airport run and so couldn’t come but I packed up his lunch for Lou to take home!

After three courses of lunch we were all full up and so took Ellie out with us and went for a walk by the river and in the park.

A nice sunny day and so we took Ellie to Minnis Bay. It’s dog heaven down there. So  many dogs for her to play with.

There were a lot of swans and geese on the wing.

Mal went to the allotment, we still have raspberries, this is a very unusual year weatherwise. I planted a couple of pots I bought at the garden centre the other day. After all her running around Ellie slept!
