A decision today with the change in weather…a BBQ or a roast! Rhys said he hadn’t had a roast for a long while so a roast it was. I have to say the beef I bought was so tasty and tender (and large!), that was good. The only problem was, I left the parsnips in the oven and only remembered them when everyone went home! It’s usually the Yorkshire puddings I forget but I remembered them today. The marrow, potatoes, spinach and carrots all came from the allotment.
Tariq and Megan came as well. It was nice to see them as Tariq will soon be back in Marines and Megan is off to Uni.
Mal’s face was because the last piece of cherry bakewell had gone (there was still a lot of trifle!)
I heard from my niece, Julie. She is running the Great North Run next Sunday to raise money for Headway, in Torin’s memory. Julie and friends are dressing up as crayons. Sadly one of her friends is no longer able to run so they are down to 5 crayons. Her friend is Gaby Logan’s PA and she is going to ask Gaby who is commentating, to get Denise Lewis to interview them. So we’ll have to watch out on the TV next Sunday for them. Torin would be so proud.
Thought for the Day – “Home is where love resides, memories are made, friends are always welcome and families are forever.”
