As people will know we have our villa in Cyprus for sale. We are not in a rush and have it with agents over there but we won’t give them a key as David and Kenny are looking after the property. So, Esta agency phoned David last week as they had a viewer for Monday. David went over and unsecured the property, unlocked all the shutters, checked the pool and sat and waited……………and waited ……and waited. After an hour and a half he called Esta, no answer!! Much later, David having locked all the property up again, Esta phoned saying they had a missed call and didn’t know who it was from. David told them who he was and had sat waiting for them to arrive.. “Oh yes, the viewers changed their mind.” said Esta. At this stage I would write, I can’t believe their lack of courtesy, but hey this is Cyprus, of course I believe it! Poor David that really was not fair.
Well I think we know historically that the south of Cyprus would like a deal favourable to themselves. Of course the talks are still ongoing but with attitudes like this perhaps not for much longer.. Here is yet another demand.
A nice walk but it was cold again.
We went out for lunch at The Orb in Margate. We had a Groupon voucher for a two course meal (£22 for two), Seeing as my starter of scallops was £8.95 and my Bass and mussels main course was £17.95 and Mal’s were about the same, what a bargain. The food was so good. They have an excellent chef and the waitress was lovely too. Having eaten there before we knew the dessert menu equates to about a million calories a portion, we both opted for starter and main!
Oh dear I look as though I have no teeth!
We were rather shocked to read on FB a message from Dawn that her husband Neil has had a heart attack. Mal and I attended their wedding at Bellapais Abbey. Wishing you a speedy recovery Neil.
We watched the Hammers v Spurs game in the evening. I was hoping Spurs would go top but sadly Hammers won, which of course pleased Mal.
