We walked around the orchards. It is looking like a bumper harvest. Masses of apricots and apples.
In the afternoon we went to Walmer Castle. I can’t believe the miserable assistants working there. We waited to show our cards and were told “go to the other desk” and then “you’ll need a £4.95 guide book.” Erm no, can we have the free audio tour please?! That was met with a very sour face. Mal said it was because we were out in the sun and they had to work!!
We have so many nice places to visit on our doorstep.
In the evening we watched Countryfile. It was quite disturbing their report on Glyphosate………“Glyphosate – the world’s most used weed killer. It’s used on farm land, and households across the UK – but some claim it’s unsafe and increases the risk of cancer – and now the EU is considering banning it altogether. But, does it really pose as serious a health risk as is being claimed? “
