I was awake at 3.45 and went outside to see the Orionids meteor shower. I managed to see a shooting star even though the moon was very bright and it was quite cloudy. Patience rewarded me.
Quite a lot later (Mal wanted to stay in bed during the meteor showers), we took Ellie out.
I went shopping to Westwood and also looked for some clothes but couldn’t find anything I really liked. But I have to say this sign made me laugh.
Mal has had a hacking cough since we have both had colds. It just won’t go away so I said I would buy him some Potters vegetable cough remover which has always worked. I couldn’t find it anywhere and so ended up in Holland and Barrett. No, it has been “taken off the shelves”. It seems everything that used to work they now deem unfit for human consumption! It was the same with Kaolin and Morphine but I did manage to source that one. It seems the Potters one is no longer manufactured!! The pharmacist I returned to said it should have ipecacuanha in it. I did find one of the Covonia ones contained it.
