“Nest ‘Trev & Jen’ hatched, but it was a training excavation. However, there are at least 44 hatchlings which didn’t want to go last night and we will be releasing them tonight. If anyone would like to come along and see them being released, please meet at The Turtle Shack, Guzelyali Beach about 7.30 pm.”
We took Ellie to Minnis Bay, her first really good walk. She loved it and also the sea water would do her foot good. There were a lot of dogs she played with. She really hasn’t enjoyed being restricted to the garden.
The only problem was that the sea is usually so clean at Minnis but this time of year, masses of seaweed always comes on to the beach. We managed to find some relatively clean sea but of course Ellie likes rolling in the seaweed there was!
She was worn out when we got home.
In the afternoon we went to Wingham Wildlife Park. It is only 2 miles from home and we have season tickets and we love going there.
We listened to the penguin talk. It was really interesting as the keeper was very knowledgable and had worked with them for over 6 years. They take all the penguins for a walk every morning!! She knew them all individually and their characters as well
It was also nice to see the Red Panda. They have a pair of Red Pandas but they are very shy and rarely seen.
It’s not looking good in Turkey, sounds like an attempted Coup.
