Sol and Tariq’s first day at their new school. They only need the hats and they look a little like the Blues Brothers!
In the evening we went for a meal at Cano’s Green Palace in Karsiyaka and wondered why we had never been there before! Mal was going to have steak but was then offered Kleftico, well of course he couldn’t resist. I know it is the tuna season and when I saw that on the menu, just had to have it. REAL chips too which we were told the family actually grows their own potatoes! This has to be one of the friendliest restaurants in north Cyprus. You are made to feel very welcome from the moment you arrive. We couldn’t find fault in anything. It was so good we had to have desert too, well that was our excuse. The tuna was 20tl and Kleftico 25tl, accompanied by salad and chips. The best value we have had in a long while. We will certainly be going back again.
If you are coming from Lapta direction, turn left opposite Karsiyaka square, follow the road up to the T junction, turn right and then it is signposted the rest of the way.
